Giving Back

Lynne Huston and Kristine Brown started Brownstone Title Services, LLC in 2006 after spending nearly 20 years in the industry. Since they launched Brownstone Title Services, LLC with two employees and no kids, the company and families have experienced phenomenal growth. Kristine and Lynne were both pregnant when they started Brownstone Title, which is why they call it a family business. Then they brought on a long time friend of Lynne's from college, Nichole Blake onboard when they opened the satellite office in Jacksonville.  In the last few years they added another agent, Cheryl Work who previously worked with Nichole. They give clients the support of all four of the licensed agents, this is how they offer top notch services. Brownstone has built a great support team as well, newest addition is Shea Brittian the Processor/Closer, Kate Crockett the Director of Marketing, and Leslie Mikesell the Post Closing/Policies, which also happens to be Nichole's sister.  Today, their experienced team of title agent professionals manage a robust portfolio and while being moms! Thus their tagline #TitleMoms

What is Title Insurance? When a property is financed, bought or sold, a record of that transaction is generally filed in public archives. Likewise, records of other events that may affect the ownership of a property, like liens or levies, are also archived. When you buy title insurance for your property, Brownstone Title searches these records to find - and remedy, if possible - several types of ownership issues. First, we search public records to determine the property's ownership status. After this search, our underwriter, First American will determine the insurability of the title. Some risks, such as title issues due to filing errors, forgeries, or undisclosed heirs, are difficult to identify. So after the WE finish itS searcH, it also provides a title insurance policy that will help protect you from a variety of issues that might be uncovered later.
